April 6, 2020
On April 8, 2020, 2 p.m. the American University of Central Asia will host a webinar on climate solutions for Kyrgyzstan as part of a virtual teach-in initiative called Solve Climate by 2030, which is led by Bard College in the US.
Over 100,000 university and high school students across the United States, Asia, Europe and Latin America, will tune into simultaneous, university-hosted webinars on an issue critical to their future: how ambitious local action can put us on the way to solving climate change by 2030.
Join us for this upcoming webinar to inject optimism and spur action on solving the climate change challenge in Kyrgyzstan. Distinguished Kyrgyz experts will give a short overview of the recent climate change trends in Kyrgyzstan and discuss scalable solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change. The presentations by the experts will be followed by a question and answer session.
Educators and faculty across Kyrgyzstan, and across disciplines, are encouraged to assign these webinars as homework, using them as a springboard for discussing climate solutions and #MakeClimateaClass.
