On October 21, 2024, the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) welcomed H.E. Marylin Josefson, the Head of the European Union Delegation and Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic, as part of its annual Ambassador Talks series hosted by the International and Comparative Politics department.

 
AUCA Law Program students took part in Jake Lowther's guest lecture in October 2024. The lecture addressed the topic of international investment protection standards.  Jake Lowther refers to himself as a “civilized common law lawyer”, having first qualified in Australia and then in Sweden.

AUCA Law Program students will participate in the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot in October of 2024. The Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot is a premier international investment arbitration competition which will take place in person at the renowned Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and virtually.

    On October 11, 2024, the UK Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, His Excellency Nicholas Bowler, shared his insights on diplomacy, the responsibilities of a diplomat, and the values that drive effective diplomatic service.

 
 

On September 20th, AUCA hosted its Ambassador Talks series. This time, the Head of the OSCE Mission in Kyrgyzstan, Alexey Rogov, delivered an overview of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and its work in the region.

On September 24th, the American University of Central Asia hosted His Excellency Nicolas Faye, the newly appointed French Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic. This event marked his first public speech since assuming office just one month ago, giving students, faculty, and the AUCA community a unique opportunity to gain insight into his diplomatic journey and vision for the future.
