On June 3, 2023, AUCA Faculty Senate awarded Commencement speaker Dr Karim-Aly S. Kassam with Professor Honoris Causa of the American University of Central Asia in recognition of his contributions to the culturally grounded community-based research on climate change adaptation in Central Asia and sponsoring and supporting AUCA students.

Participating in an exchange program offers numerous benefits, such as cultural immersion, personal growth, and academic enrichment. The decision to participate in an exchange semester in Paris was driven by my desire to experience a new culture, enhance my language skills, broaden my perspectives, and develop a global network.

AUCA has confirmed the environmental certification of Best Recycle Practice. On May 19, AUCA issued a new certificate of conformity, demonstrating that our university this year, for the 2nd time, passed voluntary environmental certification in the Waste Management Network in the Kyrgyz Republic WasteNet.kg and confirmed compliance with the requirements of eco-labelling.

The Central Asian Cinema Forum II: Documentary Filmmaking kicked off on the 5th of June at the AUCA campus. The forum aims to provide a platform for aspiring documentary filmmakers to learn from industry experts and gain valuable insights into the world of documentary filmmaking.

The Green AUCA program held a 2-week challenge in May to introduce 7 useful eco-habits. It was a joint creative experiment of the Green AUCA program and teachers and students of the LAS Department, which was successful.

The intensive program National Security Language Initiative for Youth, sponsored by the US Department of State, was successfully completed. The AUCA is thankful to be privileged in hosting NSLI-Y Program in Bishkek to support the study of the U.S. high school students

On Saturday, AUCA and TSI participated in the Europe summer fest 2023, which was held in Yntymak Park. The festival allowed many to experience the atmosphere of European culture, trade, cuisine, and music.

The first cohort of OSUN Leadership Fellows have successfully completed the inaugural year of a new program dedicated to students who are serving in student government or are interested in developing their leadership skills.
