Students can now begin booking tutoring sessions online by going to our website.

New hires include tutors in never-before-offered subjects like Russian and Kyrgyz.

Erica Eisen comes to AUCA as the new coordinator of the WARC.

On Friday, February 12th, the writing tutors from the WARC met with visiting researcher Chris Edling for a workshop about the upcoming FYSem research paper project.  

 
On October 28th, 2015, the Writing and Academic Resource Center and AUCA Advising Office hosted a "Source Citation and Credibility" workshop with Visiting Research Fellow, Alyssa Meyer. The workshop discussed common problems students encounter in citing and locating reliable sources, discussing plagiarism, paraphrasing, and citations.

Starting from this year, the Writing and Academic Resource Center (WARC) has launched a mentoring program for new tutors called “Critical Friends Group”. The program matches new tutors with returning ones in a series of meetings and mutual observations.

The Writing and Academic Resource Center (WARC) and AUCA Career Services will host a workshop on Applying to Graduate School. The workshop will be delivered by Alyssa Meyer, a Visiting Research Fellow from Indiana University.

Of the changes we’ve made at WARC this year, the most visible to our students (perhaps with the exception of our new large and beautiful space), is our online scheduling system. This new system was a product of a close partnership between WARC management, the Office of the Chief Information Officer, and the AUCA student body.
