Zarina Shapakova is an Assistant Professor in the Applied Mathematics and Informatics department at the American University of Central Asia. She received her Master's Degree in Mathematics from Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz State National University (1998, Kyrgyzstan), and a specialized degree in Mathematics from Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz State National University (1996, Kyrgyzstan). 

Zarina joined AUCA in 2000 as a specialist in the Registrar’s Office and became an Instructor in Mathematics in the Natural Sciences and Information Technologies department in 2006. In 2012, she became a full-time Instructor of Mathematics at New Generation Academy, AUCA's preparatory program. She currently holds the position of an Assistant Professor in Mathematics at AMI.
