Jarkyn Kasymova is an Assistant Professor at New Generation Academy at the American University of Central Asia. She holds a specialized degree in Russian Language and Literature from Kyrgyz State University (former Kyrgyz Women’s Pedagogical Institute) (1984, Kyrgyzstan). She participated in various professional development workshops, including the English in Elementary School program at the Kyrgyz Academy of Education (2004), courses from the  Kyrgyz Institute of Education (2001), Critical Thinking through Reading and Writing Professional Development program at AUCA (2000), and professional development courses for assistant principals at the Kyrgyz Institute of Education (1999). 

Jarkyn joined AUCA in 1999 as a Russian Language Professor in the preparatory program. Previously, she was the Assistant Principal at School Gymnasium #12 and a Kyrgyz Language Teacher in schools #2, #7, and #12 in Karakol, Naryn, and Bishkek.
