AUCA students can undertake their own research project with the support of the following research institutes and teams:
► Institute of Central Asian Studies
The Central Asian Studies Institute (CASI) conducts research in the field of humanities, especially those relating to politics and political science, in the context of Central Asia. In its research, CASI draws on literature, art and history, and strives to establish them as legitimate themes of scholarship.
► Presidential Scientific and Educational Foundation
The President's Research and Education Fund (PREF) is a unique initiative designed to support research projects of faculty, students and staff for research and educational activities. The Foundation is especially welcome to financing initiatives and projects that have a positive social impact.
► Tien-Shan Policy Center
The Tien-Shan Policy Center (TAC) specializes in conducting research on the topics of migration, sustainable development, environmental protection, human rights protection and democratic governance in Central Asia.

The Social Innovation Laboratory of Kyrgyzstan (SILK) is a platform where students and faculty develop and implement research and activism projects on a wide range of topics.
→ Center for Environment and Development
The Center for Environment and Development (CED) is a think-tank dedicated to the study and promotion of sustainable development policies.
