NDI

The National Democratic Institute (NDI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nongovernmental organization working to support and strengthen democratic institutions worldwide through citizen participation, openness and accountability in government. Since its founding in 1983, NDI and its local partners have worked to support and strengthen democratic institutions and practices by strengthening political parties, civic organizations, and parliaments; safeguarding elections; and promoting citizen participation, openness, and accountability in government.

“Youth in Action” project is aimed at giving an opportunity for young people to lead changes within their own communities. In partnership with AUCA Center for Civic Engagement, NDI engaged youth in diverse communities to help citizens develop constructive relationships with local decision-makers, residents, and other stakeholders to properly identify and address the needs of citizens.
