As students around the world return to school, 1.4 million seats in Afghan classrooms remain empty—seats meant for girls and young women. The U.S. stands in solidarity with Afghan families advocating for education as a right for all.

The Department of Anthropology and International Development is holding a special presentation by Kanat Sultanaliev, Executive Director of the Tien Shan Analytical Center at AUCA, on the topic “Policy Brief: Practices and Approaches in the Context of Kyrgyzstan”.

My name is Azhara, and I am a senior student of the Business Administration department. I first learned about WARC during my freshman year at the orientation program when representatives from the office spoke about its activities. It was at that moment I realized that my goal before graduation was to become a tutor at WARC.

 
This year, the American University of Central Asia proudly awarded degrees to 39 U.S. government-funded Afghan students, including 32 women and 7 men. These graduates symbolize a brighter future for Afghanistan and hope for all Afghans.
