June 6-11, AUCA’s Psychology Department held its 2016 Psychology Summer School to introduce the Psychological Assessment and Training Institute (PATI), promote high-quality psychological services in Kyrgyzstan, enable professional development for mental health specialists and personal development for parents, and, finally, to contribute to AUCA’s community outreach.

Meder Akeneev is a recent alum of the Department of International and Business Law. In the Fall, he will be heading to Budapest, Hungary, to continue his education with a Master’s at Central European University (CEU). Meder took a moment to reflect on his time at AUCA and give advice to our current and future students:

The Economics department of the American University of Central Asia is proud to offer a full-time two year MSc program in Economics, beginning in the Fall of 2016. Our MSc in Economics Program satisfies the highest international standards of education and is similar in content to the Master’s programs of the best American and European economics departments.

Anisa Hodjieva, current junior student of the Economics department at AUCA, tells us about how her department and studying at AUCA has helped her to participate in the  Many Languages One World Youth forum.

Business Administration department at AUCA (BA) had many outstanding graduates this year. Atalova Anisa is definitely one of the best graduates of AUCA. Anisa decided to share her thoughts about life at her alma  mater.

Zhanygul Kaparova is one of the outstanding graduates of the International Business Law department (IBL) at AUCA. She was a two-time member of the Student Senate, a SILC member; she also was an active member of AUCA clubs such as “Eloquent Crew”, AIESEC, MUN Club, Unity Fund, Rotaract. Zhanygul shared her thoughts with us about her life as a student at AUCA and decided to give some advice to current undergraduates.

Avazbek Kamalov is a senior in the International and Law Department (IBL) at AUCA. He has spent three summers in the U.S. with the Summer Work and Travel (SWT) program. He shared his thoughts with us about his experiences with SWT and about his life as a student at AUCA.

Egemberdi kyzy Takhmina, one of the best recent graduates of the Business Administration department at AUCA and a member of the President’s list, took some time to share her brightest moments at AUCA and to give some advice to current undergraduates

Zemfira Inogamova-Hanbury, our alumni ambassador in London, UK, tells us about how AUCA has helped her career path. Zemfira graduated from AUCA in 2006 from the Cultural Anthropology department and has recently organized an AUCA alumni meeting in the UK.

Starting from the new academic year, AUCA students of MA in Applied Psychology will have an opportunity to study one semester and do research works abroad. Sooner, memorandum about it will be signed between AUCA and its old partner university – Indiana University.
