On October 24, Anne Seshadri, the Public Diplomacy Office Director of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA), visited the AUCA campus. During her visit, she met with Dr. Timothy O'Connor, AUCA President, and discussed the value of educating young leaders of the region and the world for AUCA remaining on the Top universities in Central Asia.

The intensive summer program National Security Language Initiative for Youth, sponsored by the US Department of State, was successfully completed. The American University of Central Asia (AUCA) is thankful to be privileged in hosting NSLI-Y Program in Bishkek to support the study of the 18 U.S. high school students from June 24, 2023, through August 10, 2023.

On Tuesday, August 1st, the closing ceremony of the CLS (Critical Language Scholarship) summer program 2023 was held at the walls of the AUCA campus. The closing ceremony of the CLS program was a grand celebration of language, culture, and international friendships.

The first cohort of OSUN Leadership Fellows have successfully completed the inaugural year of a new program dedicated to students who are serving in student government or are interested in developing their leadership skills.

  On May 03, AUCA hosted a public lecture by Robert Daly on  ''U.S. - China Relations: Insights for Central Asia.''   The Central Asian Studies Institute (CASI) and the International and Comparative Politics Department (ICP) continue guest lectures by U.

  Central Asian Studies Institute (CASI) and the International and Comparative Politics Department (ICP) will continue a series of guest lectures by US scholars on China in April-May at AUCA. American Councils, IWPR, and the Department of State sponsor the lectures.

AUCA is honoured to be a founding partner of the Central Asian Universities Air Quality Knowledge Hub. The Knowledge Hub seeks to engage Central Asian university faculty and students in air quality science and engineering knowledge and methods and to contribute to a broader understanding of air quality conditions in Central Asia.

Melis Turgunbaev has been appointed head of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision.
