JMC students participated in ESJ Journalism Training Program in Lille
Our JMC students Madina Salieva, Shakhzoda Mirakova, and Rasmiia Abasova have officially completed the ESJ Journalism Training Program on the topic of Fake News in Media. The program was funded by the French Embassy in Uzbekistan and the training itself was taking place at the Superior School of Journalism in Lille, which has turned 100 years old!From digital verification techniques to insightful discussions with journalists from Central Asia, our students have gained valuable knowledge and experience that will no doubt shape their future in the media industry.

U.S. Ambassador Delivers Address on U.S.-Kyrgyz Relations at the “Ambassador Talks” at AUCA
 

On October 23, 2023, the International and Comparative Politics (ICP) department, in collaboration with the President’s Office at AUCA, launched the “Ambassador Talks” Series, which became the first guest lecture series with distinguished Ambassadors to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Visit of Anne Seshadri, SCA Public Diplomacy Office Director
On October 24, Anne Seshadri, the Public Diplomacy Office Director of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA), visited the AUCA campus. During her visit, she met with Dr. Timothy O'Connor, AUCA President, and discussed the value of educating young leaders of the region and the world for AUCA remaining on the Top universities in Central Asia.

On September 14, 2023, the  Development Office and the New Generation Academy (NGA) organized an opening ceremony of the “Study With US” Program. The project is implemented by the Development Office together with NGA in the framework of partnership with FHI360 (Family Health International 360), and funded by the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs of the US State Department.

Guest lecture by Gapyr Madaminov: “The culture of Intellectual Labor”
On July 26, 2023, the Institute of Education held a guest lecture on intellectual labor and hosted an honored teacher of the Kyrgyz Republic, winner of the Manas-Washington Award of the US Embassy, the prototype of the film ‘Agay’ Gapyr Madaminov.
