On Saturday, October 26, the grand opening of the AUCA Technical School of Innovation was held. This is the only educational institution in Kyrgyzstan and region that provides an opportunity to receive an education equivalent to university programs after the 9th grade of secondary school. 

On October 25, the American University of Central Asia conducted a round table on the topic: "How do we make available Central Asian research?" as part of the International Open Access Week. The round table was hosted by the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology.
 

On Wednesday, October 16, AUCA Vice President Chingiz Shamshiev met with the Head of Career Center of Narxoz university Gaini Mukhanova and Director of the Economics college under Narxoz university Sanat Sataev, accompanied by representatives of the Narxoz college to discuss cooperation opportunities between the Technical School of Innovation AUCA and Narxoz college.

Alumni Happy Hour On October 11, the AUCA Alumni Association conducted Alumni Happy Hour, which gathered over 30 graduates of the university at the Friends' coffee.    They were playing a Pub quiz

The delegation had a positive impression of the campus and meetings with AUCA students and Administration that we believe will bring to a successful collaboration further.

Cristina Villalovas is a graduate of the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities where she studied languages and Sociology. Currently, Christina is a Princeton in Asia fellow at AUCA.

For the first time, AUCA’s Writing and Academic Resource Center will offer free, one-on-one peer tutoring in the Kyrgyz language. Aiym’s help is particularly valuable given that AUCA students starting with the Class of 2023 will be required to pass a state-wide Kyrgyz language exam in their second year in accordance with government policy.
