A month after the Taliban abruptly banned women from colleges and universities in Afghanistan, U.S. institutions are trying to help them back into academe any way they can.

Asel Taalaibek kyzy graduated from the International and Business Law Department in 2022. Currently, Asel is pursuing a Master’s Degree at Central Michigan University in the United States of America, she is studying Business Administration and Management.

Asel Osmongazieva graduated from AUCA in 2021 from Journalism and Mass Communications Department. Right after graduation, Asel decided to get work experience, and currently, she is working for a non-profit organization that fights tuberculosis through various activities.

Besides paper waste, batteries and electronic waste AUCA also collects plastic for recycling.

Shahruddin Iminov graduated in 2021 with a degree in International and Business Law. He is currently, pursuing his master's at the La Sapienza University of Rome and working as a Student Life Officer at AUCA. In this interview, Shahruddin shares his advice to the students of AUCA on how important student life is.

Aidana Bekboeva graduated from AUCA in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Informatics. In 2018 Aidana won the Brain Ring Intellectual Tournament and got first place, which allowed her to study at AUCA with a full scholarship.
