We are pleased to announce the second annual First Year/Second Year Seminar Conference organized by AUCA's General Education Department.

In a bid to address the pressing issue of gender-based violence and empower advocacy efforts within their community, the Fatima Club recently organized a transformative workshop. The event served as a platform for meaningful dialogue, education, and empowerment, with Professor Sharmistha Ghosh leading the discussion.

      His Excellency, Mr. François Delahousse, graced the premises of the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) with his presence, as introduced by the esteemed President, Dr. Timothy Edward O’Connor.

 

 
On February 27, 2024 the Business School of the American University in Central Asia (AUCA) organized the presentation of Climate Change-Induced Migration study. The research was conducted by Assistant Professor of AUCA Business School Kadyrbek Sultakeev (Teamlead), Director of Ishte LLC Cholpon Akhmatova, and Senior Analyst Dastan Aseinov.

Within OSUN's GeoHub project, we held the next event at Central European University in Vienna, Austria. On February 23rd, Daniyar Karabaev from the LAS department AUCA, Kanat Sultanaliev and Otabek Nigmatov from the Tian-Shan Policy Center AUCA, gave a talk for CEU students in the Environmental Studies department.

 
 

On February 18th, the AUCA Charity Club and Muslim Community of AUCA successfully hosted its second charity volleyball tournament. All proceeds from the event were dedicated to supporting needy families, orphanages, and nursing homes.

 
 

Dr. Görkem Atsungur, Chair of the International and Comparative Politics and Dean of the Social Sciences Division, has received a research fellowship at Metharath University in Thailand (MRU) from 2024 until 2027.

On February 16th, the Krygzy-Afghan Cultural Exchange Program (KACEP) held its first meeting at AUCA.

AUCA chess club hosted the AUCA Chess Championship 2024 chess tournament. Chess is an integral part of the culture at the university and this tournament showed great interest in the game among students, faculty and staff.
