Training course on digital security and the closing event of the EIDHR project on torture prevention
On 22 and 23 September 2015, a training course on digital security for human rights defenders will take place in Bishkek, jointly hosted by the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights (BIM), the Tian Shan Policy Center (TSPC) of the American University of Central Asia and Bir Duino Human Rights Movement.

New NGA teachers from Bard College
For the first time, the New Generation Academy (NGA) at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) has established a partnership with Bard College and brought over two tutors to teach for the NGA program. President Andrew Wachtel clarifies questions about AUCA parking policy
After September 21, 2015, parking at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) will no longer be free. There will be a total of 70 parking spaces. One parking space will cost $100 per academic year. AUCA president Andrew Wachtel, who has already paid for his parking space, was interviewed to clarify the most common questions.

Club Fair takes place at AUCA
On September 10th, 2015 the Club Fair took place at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA). Representatives from each of AUCA’s many student organizations signed hundreds of new members into their clubs. There were 25 clubs represented at the Club Fair.

Ammar Younas: "My internship was a life-changing experience"
Now a junior of International and Comparative Politics, Ammar Younas spent an unforgettable summer attending the Summer School of Finland, participating in a Model UN Conference in Germany, visiting the Expo 2015 in Milan, Italy, as well as completing an internship at HRCP in Pakistan. Ammar shares with us his unique experiences and impressions.

AUCA President participated in the international academic symposium
On September 5, 2015, the president of the American University of Central Asia, Andrew Wachtel, gave a talk at the International Academic and Research Symposium “The Legacy of the Epic as a Component of Stable Development during a Time of Societal Change.” Wachtel’s talk was on “‘Manas’ as a Product of the Soviet Union.”

The best AUCA students received their awards for the academic achievements
September 4th saw the first Knowledge and Convocation Day Ceremony take place at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA). The ceremony recognized academic excellence of the students who had made the President’s List and the Dean’s List.
