On June 6, the American University of Central Asia proudly held its Commencement Ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026. The event brought together graduates, faculty, staff, families, friends, and distinguished guests to mark the successful completion of an important chapter in the students’ academic journey.

 
On May 20–21, American University of Central Asia welcomed Sir Harry Bhadeshia, newly appointed member of the AUCA Board of Trustees, for an official university visit.


 


The purpose of the visit was to familiarize Sir Harry with the university’s internal structure, academic environment, and ongoing institutional initiatives.

    President of American University of Central Asia, Timothy O'Connor welcomed Japanese Ambassador H.E. Ryuichi Hirano to campus on April 24, as part of AUCA's ongoing Ambassador Talks series aloong with International and Comparative Department — a platform that has brought senior diplomats and international figures to the university for open dialogue with students and faculty.

On April 10, the CH Maker Space at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) hosted an engaging session within the ICP Ambassador Talks series titled Cultural Diplomacy.

The conference will be on April 25, 2026, 9:00-15:30 on our vibrant AUCA campus, providing a unique platform for graduate and senior-level students to showcase their groundbreaking research across various disciplines.

    The School of Oriental and African Studies once again hosted its annual research conference, bringing together scholars to present and discuss their latest academic findings. The event continues to serve as an important platform for critical dialogue on key socio-political and cultural developments in Central Asia and beyond.

On April 11, 2026, AUCA hosted the second Digital Humanities Symposium , bringing together over 50 faculty and students from 10 universities in Bishkek and the regions.

In this interview, Srdjan Uljevic, Assistant Professor at the AUCA GenEd Faculty , shares his perspective on the importance of building a strong academic foundation before pursuing studies abroad. Drawing on his interdisciplinary teaching experience, he discusses the challenges students often face when moving overseas immediately after high school and emphasizes the value of completing undergraduate education in a familiar cultural and social environment.

  As part of the university’s ongoing efforts to engage students with global humanitarian initiatives, a guest lecture was delivered by Seval, a representative of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in Central Asia.
