October 10, 2013
On October 1st, 2013 the department of Psychology organized a symposium among all of its students.
Officially called the Psychology Student Symposium, the event drew together freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior students and Psychology Department faculty. All of the junior and senior students made extensive presentations, reporting on their experience and knowledge they gained while they had worked as interns over the last summer. The sites of internship varied from industries and business companies to the institutions of mental health and organzations for disabled children.
Psychology students participated in developing human resource strategies, conducted trainings for employees, parents and children. Many became directly involved in treating mental disorders among children. Many students continue working with their organizations and have chosen their areas of research and specialization exactly in the areas inspired by their internship experience.
