Career fair at AUCA - Open the Future!

American University of Central Asia held a Career Fair on Saturday, April 13.  The event took place on AUCA’s campus, where a wide range of companies from Bishkek presented themselves to students – potential employees. 

The main goal of the Career Fair was to open up future career opportunities for young and ambitious students who, armed with the skill sets they gained from their studies, are ready to make the transition into their future profession.

Such companies as Coca-Cola, Akforta, OSCE, Megacom, Promo Tank, Kalikova & Associates, Svetofor, Mol Bulak, Kyrgyz Concept, Sibers, Beeline, Kompanion, and Human Resources took part in the Career Fair. Each company had its own space where students were able to approach and learn more about the company by speaking with a representative, connect with each representative on a professional level, collect materials, and hand out their resumes. Moreover, some companies had their own presentation about company’s missions and goals, open vacancies, and projects.

Up to 100 students from various universities besides AUCA presented at the event. 

Apart from companies’ presentations, Alibek Ismankulov and Jyldyz Tagaeva, AUCA alumni gave speeches on their current careers, professional development, and their successes and failures. Students also had an opportunity to attend several workshops on resume and cover letter writing.

The sponsors of the Career Fair were Coca Cola Bishkek Bottlers and Akforta, who also presented themselves.
