STAR ACADEMY: Freshmen Take the Stage

This week, the FORUM turned into a stage for STAR ACADEMY, an Orientation Week highlight where freshmen teams wrote, rehearsed, and performed original pieces entirely on their own. Each team was assigned a genre — from circus and fairy tale to musical, theater, talk show, and cinema — and had to bring it to life in front of their peers and a panel of judges.
Eleven teams took part, each named after a color: Violet, Sage Green, Grey, Yellow, Navy, Maroon, Black, Emerald, Khaki, Graphite, and Orange. The range of genres made for a night full of surprises, humor, and genuine creativity, as new students got the chance to showcase talents beyond the classroom.
After the jury tallied their scores, the results were in: Khaki Team took 1st place with their Art performance, Graphite Team came in 2nd with Theater, and 3rd place was shared between Maroon (Musical) and Orange (Cinema).
Beyond the competition, STAR ACADEMY gave freshmen an early chance to bond as teams, build confidence on stage, and add their own creative mark to their first weeks at AUCA.
