The presentation of the book "Redefining Educational Leadership in Central Asia" at AUCA on Thursday, May 16, was a significant event showcasing the collaborative work of authors from prominent educational institutions in the region.
Timothy O'Connor's welcoming speech set the tone for the evening, followed by Dr. Mir Afzal Tajik's insightful discussion on critical aspects of the book. Dr. Tsediso Michael Makoelle, as the second editor, highlighted the central themes focusing on leadership within secondary and higher educational institutions. Dr. Chynarkul Ryskulova, AUCA VPAA and an author of Chapter 12, delved into "University Leaders Performance in the Higher Education System in Kyrgyzstan." This chapter aims to dissect the fundamental reasons and influences affecting decision-making processes among higher education leaders amidst rapid and extensive changes within Kyrgyz education.
