AUCA Makerspace Construction Timelapse

Bard College and the American University of Central Asia are collaborating on constructing the AUCA Makerspace Learning and Design Center (MLDC). The construction is in full swing.

This compelling timelapse video showcases the construction journey of the Makerspace Learning and Design Center. From its humble beginnings as an empty plot of land to its transformation into an innovative facility, this timelapse captures every step of the construction process.

MLDC will be a unique learning center created to consolidate research, learning and innovation in order to create new solutions to a wide array of problems. The center will be open to all young innovative and entrepreneurial people from Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries who want to improve the lives of their communities with the help of technology and education.

The AUCA Makerspace is designed for public and collaborative usage. It will be a progress-focused learning environment where collaboration, innovative thinking, and an entrepreneurial spirit will represent the shared values of American and Kyrgyz people – inclusiveness, accessibility, and entrepreneurship.

The construction is financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
