During the Climate Week an eco-tour was organized at the Unison Group Kyrgyzstan office. This office stands as an innovative, energy-efficient building entirely powered by alternative energy sources. The tour involved employees and engineers presenting the building's water purification systems, energy-saving measures, and air purification systems. Additionally, the building operates on energy derived from solar panels and a collector.
This initiative was a collaborative effort involving the Unison Group, the Climate Committee of the Green Alliance of Kyrgyzstan, the Youth Development Institute (YDI), and the Sustainable Development Initiative of AUCA at the Center for Civic Engagement. The week-long Climate Week is dedicated to addressing climate change and sustainability issues, encompassing various events like lectures, discussions, workshops, and campaigns. The goal is to enhance awareness of climate challenges and promote positive changes in behavior.
The Climate Week covers a range of crucial topics, including reducing CO2 emissions, promoting alternative energy sources, sustainable consumption, and implementing climate change adaptation measures. Such initiatives are vital for advancing the "green" economy and contributing to environmental preservation in the region. Winners of an interactive game at the end of the tour were rewarded as part of this collective effort towards a sustainable future.
