AUCA has confirmed the environmental certification of Best Recycle Practice. On May 19, AUCA issued a new certificate of conformity, demonstrating that our university this year, for the 2nd time, passed voluntary environmental certification in the Waste Management Network in the Kyrgyz Republic WasteNet.kg and confirmed compliance with the requirements of eco-labelling.
Certificates were awarded at the event "Green Waste Leaders-2023" by the organisers – Waste Management Network in the Kyrgyz Republic WasteNet.kg.
Interestingly, AUCA was no longer the only educational institution that received/confirmed the ecolabel this year. Batken State University and the Japanese school "Bilimkana" in Kant also received eco-labelling this year. Congratulations to colleagues! There are more eco-friendly educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan!
We remind you that in April 2022, AUCA became the first university in Kyrgyzstan to pass a voluntary check on the compliance of the waste management system on campus with the requirements of the network. As a result, AUCA received the ecolabel Best Recycle Practice ("Best Waste Management Practices") for introducing separate waste collection and recycling practices.
The eco-marking mark is issued for a year. In May of this year, it was necessary to confirm the environmental responsibility of our organisation and extend the validity of the ecolabel, which our university successfully completed within the framework of the Green AUCA program, which is implemented by the AUCA Center for Civic Engagement (CCE).
