Charity Event

The purpose of this event is to draw public attention to the issues of replenishing rural libraries with new literature, periodicals, and audio/video products.

On the first day of the event AUCA professors and students donated books which will later be delivered to rural libraries that do not have the means to purchase literature themselves.

Those who wish to share their books with residents of the rural areas of the country can take part in the event as well. Donated literature may be fiction, non-fiction, educational or children's books and all languages are accepted.  All collected books will be transferred to rural libraries in the Chui region of Kyrgyzstan.

Everyone is welcome to bring their books for a donation to: the American University of Central Asia, 205 Abdymomunov st. (west hall of mail building).

The “Donate a Book to a rural library” charity event will last until December 10, 2012.
