Forsat is the job search website created by the Afghan students of AUCA. The launch ceremony of Forsat was held on Friday, February 17th, where it was presented to the AUCA community.
Forsat was founded as a project chosen among 12 projects by the AUCA Development office within the framework of the AUCA Media Fellowship program 2022. Forsat means an opportunity in Persian. The mission of the project is to connect Afghan job seekers with potential employers by uploading the current vacancies on the website. Forsat makes the job-seeking process for Afghan students easier.
The opening ceremony of the event began with the speech of Jonathan Becker, the President of AUCA - “This is a wonderful event. I want to thank the Development office for their amazing work. It’s fantastic to see this opening up. I want to acknowledge how important it is that we find opportunities for students here. It is not easy to come to a different country where you might not speak the language to find your opportunities. Congratulations to the people selected for this project. Congratulations to the people who designed this, including Muhammad, Danial, and Sophia. This is a fantastic project! Thanks to everyone mentioned and unmentioned today.”
Sophia Sidiqqi, co-founder of the Forsat platform, “We created this platform where we can connect the Afghan talent with the employers in Kyrgyzstan. We already have over 100 users. And some organizations had already posted their job vacancies and some students even have started doing internships and part-time jobs through our platform.”
Apart from being a platform where employees and employers connect with each other, Forsat has other useful features such as a CV builder and blog where they advise and navigate throughout the application process and for employers to assist them in finding the right suitable candidates for their open positions.
