Open Doors Grants: October Awardees

Dear AUCA Students,

The SILC committee met on October 23, 2012.  9 applications were considered for October Open Doors Grants, and the following student projects were approved:

1.) Aisuluu Kurmanbek Kyzy was granted an Open Doors Grant to study next semester at Arnheim Business School in the Netherlands.

2.) Oqilova Umedakhon Muydinovna was awarded an Open Doors Grant to attend the Cultural Diplomacy Conference in Berlin, Germany.

3.) Ahmatjonov Akmal was awarded an Open Doors Grant to attend the Cultural Diplomacy Conference in Berlin, Germany.

To ensure transparency, consistency, and the fair and equal consideration of all applications, the SILC committee only considers application materials submitted by Online Application.  SILC will also not consider verbal commitments that have previously and unofficially been made to students in our decision-making, since this undermines the very purpose and credibility of the committee and the application and award process as outlined.  SILC also reminds students that they must submit a complete application if they want the committee to consider their grant requests.

There will be a SILC application workshop coming in November.

The next deadline for applications is November 15, 2012.
