The Department of International and Comparative Politics at the American University of Central Asia announces a call for participation in an annual International Crisis Game “War in Ukraine and its Implications for the World Order” on April 9-10, 2022

The ICP department is pleased to announce a call for participation for students majoring in political science or international relations and willing to share their ideas and expertise, gain a deeper understanding of global issues, and cultivate public speaking, teamwork, and strategic thinking skills.

This year, the crisis game will simulate ongoing dramatic developments in Ukraine as Russia’s invasion continues to ramp up causing mass civilian casualties and prompting severe economic sanctions by Western countries. The game will examine a range of possible scenarios for the war and its profound impact on the future of Europe and the global order.

The event intends to raise the awareness among students about the complex nature of the international system, provide an experiential understanding of the behavior of relevant political actors, and examine the wider international context of the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The game is open to any English language speaking students from universities in Bishkek and beyond.

Dates – April 09-10, 2022 (all day Saturday and half day Sunday);

Venue – American University of Central Asia (main building);

Language – English
