AUCA-CZU summer school 2021
September 7, 2021
Recently, the AUCA-CZU summer school 2021 took place at AUCA in the partnership's framework between the Czech University of Life Sciences and the American University of Central Asia.
Over 20 Czech students plunged into the Kyrgyz culture and traditions, as well as learned a new language and gained memorable experience.
Below, AUCA-CZU summer school Coordinator Výlupek Oldřich shares impressions on the best moments of the summer school.
- How would you describe the whole summer school program?
The Summer Program was designed to introduce Kyrgyzstan to Czech students. It was very interesting to attend the classes organized at AUCA. The visit of the region without gaining the theoretical background in the classrooms wouldn’t be complete.
- How would you measure the effectiveness of the summer school for the CZU students?
There were many aspects of the real-life observed by the CZU students while touring the country, which could have been later discussed with the AUCA professors. Their explanation was crucial for getting deep knowledge about all the interesting points.
- What would you say about the cultural program of the AUCA-CZU summer program 2021?
The CZU students had a chance to get acquainted with the life of nomad people during their cultural visits. Sleeping in yurts or horseback riding at “jailoo” has become an unforgettable experience for all the participants of the program.
- Any suggestions for improving the program by the next year?
It would be good to get rid of the global covid restrictions. Any long-term planning is a nightmare under the covid rules. This is, however, something out of our control and we cannot really influence that directly.
