On Thursday, November 12, AUCA administration together with the SILC committee conducted an online Best Thesis Award ceremony to acknowledge the three best thesis projects.
Congratulations to the following students and their supervisors for the excellent academic achievements:
Atobek Rahimshoev (BA), Servant Leadership and Turnover Intention in Central Asia: A Test of Implicit Leadership Theory. Thesis supervisor: Phang Riyang;
Sadykova Lola (PSY), Psychological aspects of Sex Workers’ Securityscapes in Bishkek. Thesis supervisor: Nina Bagdasarova;
Gulzada Mitalova (ICP), The Transboundary Conflict between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in the Batken region. Thesis supervisor: Bermet Tursunkulova.
“On behalf of the SILC committee, I would like to say that we are very pleased to have this award. We’ve been impressed by the quality of your works, and we congratulate you. I think it was a tough competition, and we are very thankful for your hard work,” Dinara Asanbaeva, Chair of SILC committee.
AUCA President Dr. Andrew Kuchins congratulated students: “Academic achievement at AUCA is the number one goal for all of us in our endeavor. The challenge of writing a senior thesis is a big milestone. I think it’s very important that those who have excelled in writing very strong work should be acknowledged. So I want to thank members of the SILC committee and congratulate the students and their professor mentors who helped to generate such terrific work for AUCA.”
AUCA Vice-President for Academic Affairs Nurgul Ukueva: “This is the celebration of your hard work. This is a celebration of your excellent accomplishments. So I would like to congratulate you on your hard work. Special thanks go to your supervisors for their guidance for their support and patients working together with students. I am very happy to see these interesting projects showing the ability of students to ask great questions, critically review the existing literature, and make small contributions to particular questions.”
