On January 25, 2020, forty-six undergraduate and master students had an opportunity to present their internship reports at the Annual Internship Symposium organized by the Psychology Department at AUCA.
The keynote speaker of the Symposium Elena Kosterina, Director of the Master of Arts in Applied Psychology program at AUCA, shared her experience in her early career and internships she had while studying at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology.
The symposium aimed to create a platform where students could discuss and reflect on the obtained experience during observational or practical internships and exchange their feedback. Besides, the important part of the event was the invitation of the employees, represented by Support Center for children who are victims of violence, Kyrgyz Indigo, Ala-Too University, Red Crescent, Babushka Adoption, SOS Village, New Days center for children with special needs, who had provided their feedback on their needs and expectations from young professionals, and also discussed future collaboration initiatives with the Psychology Program.
The presentations of the students were divided into 4 panels: Children with Special Needs, Research and HR Practices, Therapy & Counseling, Clinical Psychology.
The best individual or group presentations were chosen in each panel by the juries from the faculty members of the program. Winners were awarded by the certificates of recognition at the closing ceremony.
