On May 3 at AUCA, the Second Annual Student Conference took place. The theme of the conference was “Economics of the Region: Integration Processes and Economic Development.”
The conference was arranged by the department of Economics, with the support of The Ministry of Economics and Antimonopoly Politics. The sponsor of the conference was the Kumtor Operating Company.
The goal of the Student Conference was regional economic issues, analysis of the region’s politics, and the current economic tendencies.
The main topics of the Second Annual Student Conference were:
There were 33 participants from different Universities, who presented interesting topics on the main theme, but jury announced only four winners. The first place went to Erzhigit Ibraimov (Academy of Management under the President of Kyrgyz Republic), who presented the topic “Integration of Kyrgyzstan into the Customs Union: pluses and minuses.” He got the main prize – Apple Ipad. The second place took Nurmamat Mamatzhan uulu from Bishkek Humanitarian University, who presented the topic “Non-official Investment of Migrants to the Economics of Kyrgyzstan,”and received Asus K43Ta laptop. The third place took AUCA student, Azhar Klycheva, ECO-110. She also got Asus K43Ta laptop. The fourth place went to Aizada Beksultanova from Kyrgyz Economics University, who presented the topic “Tourism – A Sector, Attracting Investment for the Development of Economics of each Area of Integration Process.” She received Hard Drive as a prize.
There was also the contest of poster presentation; the winner of the contest became Timur Malakhunov, who received a great opportunity to take the internship in the Ministry of Economics and Antimonopoly Politics, and also got a book.
