On Friday, April 19th, the visiting professor from Opole University in Poland, Dr. Michal Wanke will hold an open lecture on the topic of "Arts-based research" in the framework of the #AUCA_open_lecture campaign.
The presented talk introduces the research and education actions within the European association based in Luxembourg, the Moving Lab that was established by a group of university artists and scientists. Several projects, including the 'Freedom Bus' and 'Art in the Park' and 'Movable Lab', are presented in order to demonstrate how artists and social scientists can get together to work on common topics - namely: European identity, cooperatives, and intercultural typography and enhance each other's perspective. All projects involved students from various art majors as well as social sciences and humanities.

Dr. Michał Wanke is a sociologist, assistant professor at the University of Opole; a founding member of Moving Lab association based in Luxembourg, working on intercultural education. He conducts research on identities and digital media, on drugs, drug users, drug policies. He is a director of the Office for International Study Programmes of the University of Opole.
