On February 5, 2019 as part of annual guest lecture series the Department of Economics organized a seminar on the topic “Human Capital” with the participation of the World Bank. The workshop was conducted by the World Bank experts led by the Regional Director for Central Asia, Lilia Burunciuc.
The participants agreed that only countries with developed human capital will be able to achieve sustainable economic growth. It is critical to invest in healthcare and education of children, as well as develop the skills and potential of young people in order to effectively compete in the global economic arena of the future.
