A fish farm director, Mr. Vadim Dosaev, showed the equipped with a recirculation system for the breeding of market catfish and trout. Meanwhile, Mr. Dosaev told us about the production and trade of fish in Bishkek city. The aim of the visit was to study the importance of fisheries and aquaculture resources for industrial and domestic uses and also for the improvement of the environment.
AUCA students sharing their impressions about the trip below:
The trip to the fish farm was very informative, useful and interesting. During our trip, I got information about catfish’s habitat and trout’s stages of development and habitat. Within the technologies, at the fish farm it is much easier and better to grow the different types of fishes and make their habitat closer to the environment. Mostly I got impressed by the environment where fishes live; for example trout fish lives in clean water, while catfish in a reservoir,

It was my first time visiting a fish breeding farm, I was so excited about seeing the different types of fishes. Before visiting the fish farm, I thought that fish farming is the easiest way of having a business but after seeing it I understood how difficult it is to grow a fish. It was surprising to me that they need to feed the fish for three years and then they can sell,
