MIGRATION STUDIES DOUBLE DEGREE MASTER PROGRAM

Double Degree Master Program is the Master Program of the new generation that within two years allows to stay in two countries, Russia and Kyrgyzstan, to study in two universities, Tomsk State University and American University of Central Asia, and to receive two master degrees, Russian and Kyrgyz.

AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL ASIA

American University of Central Asia offers a two-year Master Program in Anthropology. One of the program tracks is Urbanization, Migration and Multiculturalism that provides courses on urban and regional development, migration and mobility, globalization, ethnicity and nationalism in multicultural societies. The language of instruction is English.

There are no entrance exams for the Master Program. The only requirement is the fluency in English that can be supported by an English certifica such as TOEFL, IBT or others. Candidates have to fill an application form, present a copy of their undergraduate degree and write a motivation letter.

The graduates of the Master Program may work as experts and advisors on urban development, migration policy and multiculturalism in state agencies, non-governmental and international organizations as well as educational and research institutions.

TOMSK STATE UNVERSITY

Tomsk State University offers a two-year Migration Studies Master Program. This program aims to study the theoretical and practical aspects of the migration processes, migration policy and the integration of migrants in local communities. It introduces the best international standards and practices in the migration management. The languages of instruction are Russian and English.

There are no entrance exams for the Master Program. The candidates are supposed to have an interview. Students have to fill an application form, present a copy of their undergraduate degree and write a motivation letter.

The graduates of the Master program may work as experts and analysts in the agencies of federal, regional and municipal management, educational and research institutions, consulting, public and international organizations as well as to continue their study in a PhD program.
