The Institute of Education at the American University of Central Asia is hosting an International Summer School on Inclusive Education (IE2018) with participants from five countries: Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Ukraine. The overarching goal of IE 2018 is to explore with participant stakeholders a robust roadmap for developing and delivering Individualized Educational Programs for children with special educational needs.
Within this overarching scope, some of the specific learning activities of the IE2018 would be:
The IE2018 is a collaborative effort – with contributions from Department of Psychology and its Institute of Behavioral and Health Analysis, as well as significant efforts of local Kyrgyz organizations and experts active in the field of inclusive education. The five-day interactive program will be facilitated by a team of international faculty experts.
Ultimately, the IE2018 is envisioned as an outcome-oriented collective-learning endeavor for professionals working in the Inclusive Education echo-system in participating countries of Central Eurasia and Eastern Europe.
This is an invitation only event. However, all the presentations and materials of IE2018 will be made available as an E-course through the AUCA website.
