The partnership with Porsesh Research & Studies Organization

Memorandum between American University of Central Asia and Porsesh Research & Studies Organization was signed.  PRSO is a nonprofit, independent, and Kabul-based organization established to produce and disseminate quality research. The partnership is aimed to develop long-term, effective and mutually advantageous cooperation, targeted at promoting international collaboration and networking in the area of gender studies, specifically with the research center at AUCA, the Center for Critical Gender Studies. This opportunity also provides AUCA Students with research internships in PRSO.

Hafizullah Saeedi, the Vice-chairperson of AUCA Student Senate shares his experience in PRSO below;

“In summer 2017, I got the chance to work as research intern with PRSO, and currently I work as the Civic Engagement Officer of the organization. In my experience with PRSO, I found it a prestigious youth-led research center in Afghanistan, with a large team of creative researchers working on various issues such as; Women and Youth Empowerment, Conflict and Peace Studies, Culture and Pluralism, Governance and Rule of Law, also Economic and Trade Development.  As far as I am concerned, quality researches that PRSO conducts can serve well the policy makers, practitioners, academics and the Afghanistan government with the evidence based and well-informed decision-making.  As member of the team, facilitating the partnership between AUCA and PRSO makes me feel proud, and am looking forward to working with both institutions more passionately.”
