Edil Osmonbekov, historian, Larisa Marchenko, the Director of the department of Monitoring and Strategic Planning in the Ministry of Education in Kyrgyzstan, and Cholpon Djunusalieva, the Director of school-gymnasium №70, published “Academic Honesty in Higher Education of Kyrgyzstan” manual for students and teachers. The manual is aimed at improving the quality of education and upbringing of the Kyrgyz citizen.
According to “Academic Honesty in Higher Education of Kyrgyzstan” manual, for many previous decades the accent in the sphere of education in Kyrgyzstan was only put on teaching but not on up-bringing as a simultaneous process. This approach proved to be ineffective. That is why the idea of creating the atmosphere of academic honesty appeared.
The manual helps to answer the questions: What is academic honesty? What is academic freedom? and What is academic responsibility?
The manual can be found in AUCA Library in Russian and English languages.
