Fundraising for our professor Mohira Suyarkulova!

Many of you have heard about the terrible car accident in which our AUCA professor (CASI, Department of Sociology, and public activist) Mohira Suerkulova was severely injured. Early in the morning on August 26, a "Lexus" crashed into a taxi with Mohira inside. Mohira and the taxi driver are now in serious condition in the intensive care unit of the Bishkek Research Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics.

Mohira suffered from a brain injury, damage to her face, and fractures to both femurs. Last week, she had a complicated operation. Her condition was assessed by doctors as stable but difficult. She needs additional operations and will be in recovery for an extensive period of time. Let’s all of us support Mohira!
