Miss AUCA 2012

On March 22, at Seitek, the annual Miss AUCA contest took place. The winner of the contest, Aiman Abylkasymova, is a freshman student in the BA Department.  The contest consisted of 5 parts: Welcoming, Style, Dance, Country Presentation, and Wedding Dresses.  All 10 contestants showed their runway walks, presented themselves, and showed their talents through dances and songs.

The members of jury were the representatives of the contest sponsors –Dina Kim, one of the owners of The Laboratory Bravo boutique, provided contestants with outfits for the Style competition; Oleg Beda, who provided the girls with wedding dresses; Salkynai Voinova, a producer and singer; Nurbek Savitahunov, a singer; and Kasiet Toktosunova, manager of “Keldike” jewelry.

At the end of the contest, all the beautiful contestants received special prizes. Diana Gurbanmyradova became Vice-Miss AUCA. Aiman also received Miss Congeniality because the jury suggested that she had the most audience support. Other awards were: Miss Grace – Iowa Djumaeva, Miss Elegance  - Bermet Sargazakova, Miss Fitness – Alina Alymkulova, Miss Intelligence – Altynai Nogoeva, Miss Hollywood Smile – Adelia Askarova, Miss Sweetheart – Maria Mashanlo, Miss Glamour – Aisha Aitkeeva, and Miss Bravo – Yevgenia Tsoi.

The contest was mixed with performances of AUCA students, who performed songs and dances.  “I’m pleased with the contest. We decided to make some organizational and judging changes this year. I sincerely thank all contestants for their enthusiasm and diligence.“ Ksenia Minkova, the organizer of the Miss AUCA contest, said.
