The Best Chess Players of AUCA

General Education Division conducted traditional “AUCA CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP – 2017” on last Saturday where more than 30 chess players took part in a very competitive championship game.

 Chess Championship of 2017 was conducted using the Swiss system for Chess Tournament where each chess player must play seven games with seven different players. Results of the “Chess Championship – 2017” are following:

Winners among male students:

1. Shabiev Shaislam, Economics department. 
2. Mamatov Nursultan, Master of Science in Economics. 
3. Shakitov Nursultan, Master of Science in Economics.

 Winners among female students:

1. Zhumashova Medina, Business Administration.  
2. Urusalieva Aida, International and Business Law.
3. Muratbekova Zhyldyz, New Generation Academy.  

 Faculty winners:

1. Daniyar Karabaev, LAS/General Education.
2. Artur Mansurov, Software Engineering.

 All winners were awarded with special AUCA gifts, certificates and medals.

 Chess became one of the popular and successful among other sport games in AUCA. AUCA chess teams did very good achievements in the Republican Universiadas over last 3 years. Among other AUCA sports only chess team will play in the Major League in the Republican Universiada in Bishkek on March 2017. They have very good chance to become Chess Champions in the republican level and further to participate in the international chess tournaments.

 General Education Division expresses its gratitude to Talaibek Imanaliev, Valeri Hardin and Daniyar Karabaev for teaching, conducting of chess tournaments and for their active contribution to students’ achievement on chess.
