OPENING OF THE AUCA HIGH SCHOOL THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH BILIMKANA
On March 18, 2016, at 12:00 pm at AUCA, there will be a press conference dedicated to the opening of the AUCA High School of the Bilimkana Foundation in partnership with the American University of Central Asia.
AUCA High School is accepting applications for enrollment into 8th through 11th grade to prepare students for the AUCA entrance examinations and prepare them for other leading universities around the world.
The curriculum of the high school is based on a STEM (sciences, technology, mathematics and English) methodology.
The high school’s teaching team consists of top teachers in Bishkek, including those with experience teaching at the university level. In the summer of 2016, the teachers will undergo additional training from AUCA in order to teach in accordance with AUCA’s academic standards.
The school’s curriculum consists of three components: general education in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education of the KR; English language and college math prep for AUCA; and a personal development component designed to help students become not only educated, but also strong, confident, and communicative.
The main language of study for the first component will be Russian supplemented by studies of advanced Kyrgyz. The second and third components will be conducted in English to prepare students for TOEFL and develop their written and spoken English skills.
The high school will be based at AUCA’s new campus. There, students will be able to make use of a great library, media resources, IT and science labs, and our gym.

In the KR, AUCA has the highest acceptance rate into some of the world’s top universities: Harvard, Columbia, Georgetown, Yale, New York University, Cambridge, Oxford, St. Andrews and others.

AUCA High School will help a higher number of students successfully pass their AUCA entrance examinations and get into other top universities, giving them access to higher quality education.
The Bilimkana Foundation has established and runs a network of schools in various cities and regions in Kyrgyzstan, providing high quality and innovative education. Students not only receive a formal information-based education but also valuable life skills for further work, creativity, business and art.

The press conference will take place March 18 at 12:00pm at the new AUCA campus on 7/6 Aaly Tokombaev St, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. 4th floor, conference-hall (CH). After the press-conference, there will be reception for all guests.
