“STUDENT FOCUS”

On December 5, 2015, AUCA’s Career Services Center in collaboration with the group Business Advisor organized the “STUDENT FOCUS” forum funded by USAID.

Around 150 students from various universities of Kyrgyzstan participated in the event. Students came from the Kyrgyz National University, the Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transportation and Architecture, the Kyrgyz Economic University, the Kyrgyz State Law Academy, the Kyrgyz State Technical University, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Bishkek Humanities University, the Bishkek Financial and Economic Academy, and the Kyrgyz Academy of Tourism.

The entrepreneurship forum STUDENT FOCUS provided its participants with an opportunity to fill gaps in their knowledge on entrepreneurship and get to know trainers personally. The accommodating and student-friendly atmosphere made for a productive learning environment for both AUCA students and participants from other universities.

STUDENT FOCUS was the combination of an inspirational student environment, well-educated trainers, immediately useful contacts for future networking, and, of course, a number of coffee breaks. Topics covered by the forum included “Effective sales”, “SMM”, “Anti-crisis management”, “Effective communication”, “Internet Marketing”, “Customer Relationship Management”, “Managing a team”, and “Strategic planning”. The most popular training sessions were “Personal effectiveness” and “How to begin a startup.”
