On November 14, 2015 AUCA’s student television group AUCA TV was awarded “Best Social Youth Project of the Year” by Jashtar Camp 2015, held in the Kyrgyz National Library.
The other groups competing were the Network of Bike Rental Stations “City Bike Bishkek” – 22,94%, “Education for All” Youth Center “Nookat” – 14,13 %, and the “Municipality Fin-Bilim-City” – 11,19%. AUCA TV wont 51.74% of the vote.
Jashtar Camp calls itself the largest annual youth (un)conference in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia. For the seventh time in a row, the event was held in Bishkek.
AUCA TV team shares their thoughts and impression about the event, their work, and future plans:
Bakhrom Tursunov, video editor and operator of AUCA TV said, “our AUCA TV team has been working a lot in order to produce different kinds of media products which would make our university more visible and recognizable for everyone. As a result of our hard work, at present we have very wide audience. I had no doubt that all of those people who like our videos would support and vote for our victory in "Jashtar Camp". I am very grateful for all those who have assessed our work so highly. I want to assure everyone that our work will not stop and we will keep producing more and more interesting videos.”
Adilet Dubaev, AUCA TV anchor said, “any initiative is equal to the same level of responsibility. The work we do at AUCA TV has moved to a new level. If previously everything was done in haste, now we are working on quality content and video feed. Of course, it's very nice to know our audience appreciated it and supported us in the contest. I am very glad to see the feedback of our viewers. I thank you for your support. We will do even more in order to please our audience and to grow ourselves.
