AUCA students selected to participate in ProKG Leadership Program

A group of AUCA students took part in three-day training of the «ProKG Leadership Program». The event took place from April 10 till April 12, 2015 in the beautiful ethno-complex Supara Chunkurchak. 

The club of Professionals «ProKG» is a public organization established in 2009 by young professionals who graduated from leading foreign universities and are now working in top companies and organizations from around the world. The mission of «ProKG» is to create a platform bringing together professionals as an inspiration to tomorrow’s leaders. Activities of the organization are focused on the development of educational and professional capacities, as well as personal development of young people. «ProKG Leadership Program» is a new project of the Club. The initiative aims to strengthen professional capacity and personal growth of young leaders. 

Aspiring participants have to go through a tough selection process. Only 18 people were selected out of 233 applicants. Eight of them were AUCA students and graduates, namely: Adel Sultanbekova, Anisa Atalova, Asel Kaldybaeva, Bakhrom Tursunov, Begimai Kulukeeva, Zhamilya Aitakunova, Meder Akeneev and Nadezhda Pak. A NGA student, Meerim Nurlanbekova, is also working as a project assistant for this program. 

The training program focused on topics such as fundamental principles of life, principles of personal growth, goal setting, time management, emotional intelligence, self-education and some others. Training sessions were conducted by «ProKG» members, including several outstanding AUCA graduates - Cholponbek Zhumashukurov, Jenny Jenish kyzy, Edil Ajibaev, Adilet Dadybaev, Kanybek Konokbaev and Taalai Nasirdinov. 

The whole event offered a great networking platform to students and professionals. Trainees had a chance to meet leading experts in different fields and become acquainting with each other. 

One of the participants of the training, Meder Akeneev, told about his impressions of the program.

"As for me personally, that was a life changing moment. Firstly, because the training program itself was very well prepared and presented. It compiled the best books in the field of personal growth and development with «ProKG» members’ own life experience. It was also very inspiring just to meet with those people, learn about their success stories and understand that it is really possible for young people from the Kyrgyz Republic to become successful and competitive on a global level with perseverance and dedication. Finally, the greatest moment of the program was meeting with other participants. Each one is already a unique individual with his or her own story of achievements and successes. We came to the program as strangers, but after only three days we became close friends, as if we had known each other for years. These three days are now some of the most memorable moments in my life. I am super motivated to work hard. I have a much better understanding of my life goals and I know what I have to do to reach them. I am pretty much convinced that all other participants would agree with me. I want to thank the Club of Professionals «ProKG» for this amazing opportunity.

Next, «ProKG Leadership Program» will organize a mentoring program, where each participant will have five individual meetings with his or her own mentor, «ProKG» member. It will be a unique opportunity to personally meet with top professionals in different fields and get advice and first-hand knowledge", - shared with us Meder Akeneev, junior student of International and Business Law.
