-Tell us please, why did you choose AUCA? And why IBL?
I have chosen AUCA when I was 10th grade high-school student. The main criteria were: 1.the elective system of education – I think, education and free will are inseparable. 2. I preliminary knew that there is abundance of intelligent, and at the same time, lively people. Such ones I would love to have in the ranks of my friends. 3. Possibilities after graduation of my future Alma – mater are broader than in any other university of the state. These possibilities are: language, international relations, and acquisition of skills, such as communicativeness, tolerance and flexibility.
Why IBL? Humankind at any times used to and still lives according to certain laws. The issue is whether they are written or unwritten. Unwritten ones are those which are revealed through our emotional intelligence. The written laws are those prescribed by the society itself. Life is like a game. If you want to win, you must know the rules. I want to become a winner in my life; therefore, I fixed my attention on IBL.
- Tell us about your favorite classes from IBL, why do you like it?
There are two types of law classes: public law and business law. I am concentrating mostly on business law. Subsequently, I prefer business law classes, such as: business entities, contracts, obligations. These are my most preferable classes. However, this fact does not imply that other classes are deprived of interest. Our professors are one of those who are easily recognized in the state jurisprudence industry.
- Tell us a little about your projects, competitions, if you had participated in any?
My most exciting project was after July events. I won a tender on performance of “Increase of tolerance and solidarity among the youth of Kyrgyzstan”. This was a festival of the city dimension. It was my first experience of such a responsibility and social engagement. Therefore, it was the most exciting project I ever had.
-What did your department give you?
1. Basic knowledge and understanding of what is law, how it regulates social life and impacts our activities.
2. Skills, such as: loyalty, seriousness, diligence and critical thinking
3. Wonderful friends. Ask any of the AUCA students, who are the most rallied ones in AUCA community– the answer is: All law students.
- Who you want to be after graduation? In what field are you going to work?
To be candid, I want to engage in commercial activities. Business consists of two sides: economics and commercial jurisprudence. I think that business thinking cannot be taught – this is the part of our inner side, therefore, I decided to study law – this is what I can learn.
- All IBL students need to pass their internship as in other AUCA departments. What was your internship? What did you do? Was it interesting and helpful?
Yes, I had passed internship in Bishkek court and Pervomaiskii district prosecutor's office. In both internships I was sharing the job activities and obligations of state workers. In the court, I also was an observer in litigation processes – this was a very fascinating part of my internship, because I could compare all theories acquired previously at AUCA with the practice.
Concerning the helpfulness of internship; it was. Actually, I got acquainted with the practical aspects of law enforcement and look at theory from quite a different perspective.
-Your wishes and advices to future IBL students
During these three years I have met no person who complained that he/she did the wrong choice, selecting this field of study. Therefore, my friends, at least, you did the right choice.
However, always bear in mind – it is not the profession that makes you a human, it is you, who make the profession as it is.
