Kyrgyzstani Travel Company ready to Invest in Tourism Product Designed by AUCA Students
March 25, 2016, a team of AUCA students calling themselves “Eagles” took first place at a national tourism marketing competition. Participants came from six universities across the Kyrgyz Republic. The competition took place at the Kyrgyz Economics University (KEU). This was the second year in a row an AUCA has won first place.

On March 26 at the Kyrgyz National University, AUCA students Lu Tian (ECO-114) and Malianchinova Khamida (JMC-112) participated in Japanese Language Speech Contest. AUCA students were involved into this event for the first time.

‘Dormitorians’ celebrated International Women’s Day
On March 8, 2016, International Women’s Day was celebrated in AUCA’s International Dormitory. The dorm residents organized a mini-concert in honor of International Women’s day. At the event, dorm residents sang songs, shared their own stories, recited poetry they had written, and played games.

AUCA student tells about her SILC experience
Last academic year ,2014-2015, the Student Intellectual Life Committee (SILC) at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) gave grants to 25 sophomores, 24 juniors, and 13 seniors. Khamida Malianchinova, a senior in Journalism and Mass Communications, shares her SILC experience.

AUCA faculty visit Bard College
AUCA faculty Medet Tiulegenov (ICP), Görkem Atsungur (ES) and Saniia Toktogazieva (IBL) were invited to visit Bard College on January 31 – February 7, 2016. They participated in two Human Rights workshops hosted by the Center for Civic Engagement of Bard College, New York.
