BEST MIGRATION RESEARCH PROJECT PROPOSAL
The research project proposal is welcome on any topic concerning modern migration. Students are invited to address the pressing issues in migration in their research activities and bring them to the attention of policymakers, and general public in Kyrgyzstan or Central Asia, promoting migrants’ rights protection and information awareness among migrants themselves.

Chinese Delegation Visits AUCA to talk Education
On April 26, 2016 a delegation from the People’s Republic of China visited the American University of Central Asia. The delegation consisted of representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the head of an International Education Initiative.

New Undergrad Programs to Open at AUCA
Starting from the 2016-2017 academic year, the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) will have two new departments: the Department of Television, Cinematography and Visual Art and the Department of Applied Geology. Heads of the new departments spoke about their new programs at a press-conference on May 19, 2016.

Sir James Mirrlees, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics and emeritus Professor of Political Economy at Cambridge University, has been chosen as the keynote speaker for AUCA’s commencement ceremony to be held on June 4, 2016.

AUCA students visit Kumtor gold mine
On April 23, 2016, students from the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Certificate Program at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) visited the Kumtor gold mine. The purpose of the trip was to introduce students to the astronomical logistics of everyday operations at one of the biggest companies in Kyrgyzstan.

Model United Nations Opportunity for High School Students
The American University of Central Asia’s (AUCA) Student Senate, in collaboration with Bard College, is organizing the first Model United Nations (MUN) conference for Bishkek high school students. The conference will take place on June 2, 2016.
