Tian Shan Policy Center kindly invites all interested to a guest lecture by Mr. Rajendra Shende, Policy Advisor at United Nations on implementation of activities related to ozone layer protection and climate change in more than 146 developing countries. Rajendra Shende is expert on transfer of environmentally sound technologies and the implementation of the Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) in the developing countries and countries with economies in transition.

On September 13-15,  2016 visiting speaker from the American University in Cairo (AUC) Doris Jones will be offering workshops for faculty at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA). Jones’s visit is made possible through a grant from the AMICAL consortium and the kind contribution of AUCA.

On September 2, 2016, the Graduate School of Social Sciences welcomed its newly admitted students for the 2016-2017 academic year. The students will be studying in the Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, and Central Asian Studies (MACAS) departments.

The Student Intellectual Life Committee (SILC) supports student-initiated projects, professional development opportunities, and student research.  From August 30 - September 2, 2016 American University of Central Asia (AUCA) hosted a free and public Audio Journalism Workshop organized by Taxi Taxi, an innovative storytelling podcast from the South Caucasus.
The podcast's founders, Billie Jean Stirewalt and Vladic Ravich, led three days of classes to teach participants how to develop stories, record interviews, and get their shows to the public. The workshop was well-received and attended by a wide range of participants, including AUCA students and professors.
